The International Entertainment Buyers Association (IEBA) has officially opened its new Hall of Fame exhibit in Nashville. The unveiling took place during the 56th annual IEBA conference last week, and the installation honors excellence in live music spanning those five-plus decades and beyond.
What’s inside:
The exhibit features profiles of IEBA Hall of Fame members dating back to when the honor was established in 2010.
It also paints a picture of how the live industry has grown since IEBA was founded in 1970 through photographs, advertisements, and more.
Promoters, agents, talent buyers, and tours that drove the business forward are highlighted throughout.
Central topics explored in the exhibit include “Country Goes National,” the “Boom Years,” “A Global Business,” and “The Experience Economy.”
What they said:
IEBA Executive Director Brian Wagner: “The story of IEBA is really the story of the people who built this business. For more than five decades, our members have created opportunities for artists, built audiences, developed venues and markets, taken risks and formed the relationships that make live entertainment possible. This exhibit allows us to preserve those stories while showing the generations coming behind us how much of the industry they know today was built by the people whose faces and names surround them here.”
