
Guji Lorenzana has been promoted to Director, A&R and Client Development, APAC, at indie-focused distribution and rights management platform Symphonic Distribution.
The role:
Lorenzana will oversee regional A&R strategy, client development and team growth across Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia and Australia.
Backstory:
Los Angeles-based Lorenzana previously served as Symphonic’s first Territory Manager, A&R and Client Development, APAC.
He has led several artist and label signings in the region, including DYNA Music, the oldest music catalog in the Philippines; Taiwan’s Kafka by the Sea; Korea’s ABYSS Company; and more.
Other hires:
As part of Symphonic’s expansion in the region, it has appointed Arie Legowo as A&R Client Development Lead, Indonesia, and Abegail Ungab as Senior Manager, Content, UGC & Rights Management, APAC.
Legowo previously held senior roles at Warner Music Indonesia and The Orchard, serving as Country Head for Indonesia.
Ungab was most recently Senior Manager, Video Strategy, APAC, at Ingrooves Music Group.
Both will report to Lorenzana.
