


Resonator Awards to Honor Chaka Khan, St. Vincent, Haim, and More
The ceremony champions creatives shaping the sound of today’s culture
The annual Resonator Awards will take place on January 27 at Los Angeles’ Chaplin Studios, formerly known as The Jim Henson Lot.
Why it matters:
The Awards kick off GRAMMY week by celebrating the artists, producers, engineers and songwriters shaping the sound of today’s culture.
They are presented by We Are Moving The Needle, a 501c3 non-profit founded in 2021 by GRAMMY-winning mastering engineer Emily Lazar, which is working to increase the representation of women and non-binary individuals in the recording industry.
Honorees:
Chaka Khan will receive the Luminary Award, presented by Sia.
St. Vincent will take home the Golden Trifecta Award, presented by Olivia Rodrigo.
HAIM will be honored with the Disruptors Award, presented by Rostam.
Behind the scenes creatives set to receive awards include producer, recording and mix engineer Gena Johnson, engineer Jayda Love, recording and mix engineer Bella Blasko, songwriter Amy Allen, producer Alissia, and writer-producer duo Elvira Anderfjärd and Luka Kloser.
Presenters include Jason Isbell, Aaron Dessner, Laufey, Anderson .Paak, Addison Rae, Tony Berg and Emily Lazar.
Performers will be announced shortly.
