Australian electronic music outfit RÜFÜS DU SOL kicked off their four-date headline run at Madison Square Garden on Thursday June 25, in the process breaking a ticket sales record for the genre.
Why it matters:
The GRAMMY-winning trio are the first electronic act to sell out four consecutive shows at the famed venue.
They’ve also broken the record for the most tickets ever sold by an electronic artist in MSG’s history, as per The Music Network.
More records:
In December 2025 Live Nation said the band’s ‘Inhale / Exhale’ tour was the highest-selling electronic music tour of all time.
The group sold 750,000 headline tickets and performed to 1.5 million fans worldwide across festival and headlining shows throughout the year.
Upcoming:
On July 4 the group will headline Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros (formerly Foro Sol) in front of 60,000 fans.
Previous headliners include Oasis, Bad Bunny and Harry Styles.
