British singer Olivia Dean has responded to issues with the “ticket re-selling and pricing” for the North American leg of her 2026 Art of Loving Live tour by calling out Live Nation, Ticketmaster and AEG in a series of stinging social media posts.
The posts:
Dean’s initial message apologized for “an issue with ticket re-selling and pricing,” and advised that her team was looking into the “extremely frustrating” situation, as she doesn’t want “anyone to be scammed or overcharged for our show.”
Later, she published a second post: “@ticketmaster @livenation @aegpresents you are providing a disgusting service. the prices at which you’re allowing tickets to be re-sold is vile and completely against our wishes. live music should be affordable and accessible and we need to find a new way of making that possible. BE BETTER.”
As per Variety, the posts came in the wake of fans on social media reporting that they had to wait behind tens of thousands in digital ticketing queues.
Others claimed verified tickets were being resold for drastically inflated prices.
Ticketmaster’s response:
The ticketing giant reposted Dean’s message to its Instagram account.
It added: “We support artists’ ability to set the terms of how their tickets are sold and resold. @oliviadeano, we will cap resale prices on our site at face value and hope other resale sites will follow.”
Resale tickets appear to have been removed from all Ticketmaster sites, as per Variety.
Meanwhile, an AEG spokesperson told Variety, “As soon as we noticed the price irregularities in the secondary market, we immediately shut down resale for the one Olivia Dean show that was promoted by AEG Presents and ticketed by AXS [at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena]. We have been vocal in our support of legislation that protects artists and fans alike.”
