Monti Olson Will Lead BMG’s North American Music Publishing Operations
Olson is making his return to the publisher with this new position
BMG, the international record label and music publisher, has brought on Monti Olson as head of music publishing in North America. His official title is Executive Vice President, Publishing, North America.
Monti Olson:
From 2018–2022, Olson oversaw US publishing operations for BMG.
His new position will include a place on BMG’s Global Strategy Committee.
According to a press release, as EVP Publishing, North America, Olson will “lead BMG’s publishing A&R and creative administration teams, drive new signings and catalog acquisitions, and oversee the development and execution of growth strategies across the company’s U.S. operations in Los Angeles, Nashville, and New York.”
During his time away from BMG, Olson was President of Litmus Music, a music rights acquisition company.
Throughout his career, he has worked at Universal Music Publishing Group, Warner Bros. Records, and Global Entertainment/Global Music Publishing.
