Grammy-nominated songwriter Jessie Jo Dillon has partnered with MCA to launch a new imprint, Gatsby Records.
The ethos:
Dillon describes Gatsby Records as a “home for artists who aren’t afraid to be themselves, sound different and transform.”
She adds: “If it’s raw, if it’s beautiful and if it even scares you a little, then it belongs on Gatsby Records.”
MCA President & CEO Mike Harris believes the creation of Gatsby is an “extension” of the label’s vision of “building long-lasting, meaningful careers.”
The first release:
Carter Faith’s debut album, Cherry Valley, on October 3.
The founder:
Dillon is a six-time Grammy nominee who has written chart-topping hits for artists such as Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll, Post Malone, George Strait, Miranda Lambert and more.
What they said:
Dave Cobb, MCA Chief Creative Officer: “I’m beyond excited for the launch and the future of Gatsby Records! Working with Jessie Jo has been an absolute dream, she has the incredible ability to get right down to the heart of a song and really dig deep to protect the artist and their vision.”
