Kanye West Announces First Los Angeles Show in Years
The controversial rapper is gearing up to release his new album, ‘Bully’
Ye, AKA Kanye West, has announced a show in Los Angeles, his first major United States performance in years.
The details:
West will perform at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on April 3.
A tour page has been set up through which fans can pre-register for the show by pre-saving his upcoming album, Bully.
Presale tickets go on sale today (Tuesday March 10) at 10am local time, followed by general onsale on Wednesday.
Bully is currently scheduled for a March 27 release.
Rare show:
West has made only a handful of live appearances over the past few years, including two dates in Mexico City in January, and shows in South Korea and China in 2024.
He has not embarked on a US run since 2016.
It’s unclear whether more US dates will be announced.
His previous date at SoFi Stadium took place alongside Ty Dolla $ign at Rolling Loud in 2024, but as Variety notes, it was more a listening party for the album Vultures 1.
Controversy:
West has, over the past few years, made numerous antisemitic remarks on social media and in interviews.
In January he placed a full-page ad in The Wall Street Journal apologizing for his actions, citing untreated brain damage and mental illness as reasons for the comments.
“It does not excuse what I did though. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people,” he wrote.
