K-pop’s ‘Big Four’ are plotting a live music joint venture
K-pop giants HYBE, SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment and YG Entertainment are readying a joint venture to launch a new music festival.
The details:
Music Business Worldwide reports that each company would have an equal stake in the joint venture.
It’s likely to be called Fanomenon, though business and operational details are yet to be finalized.
The aim is to launch a large music festival in South Korea in 2027, featuring artists from each agency.
It would then expand into a global touring event from May 2028.
Star-studded:
HYBE is home to acts such as BTS, SEVENTEEN, Tomorrow X Together and ENHYPEN.
SM represents TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, EXO, NCT and aespa.
YG acts include BIGBANG, 2NE1 and Blackpink.
JYP is behind 2PM, TWICE, Stray Kids and ITZY.
Backstory:
The concept was floated in October 2025 by JYP Entertainment Founder J.Y. Park, who also serves as Co-Chair of the Presidential Committee on Popular Culture Exchange.
