Fresh Ink: Meghan Trainor Lands at UTA, Mustard Signs With Mixed Management

After making her on-screen acting debut in Ryan Murphy's FX series The Beauty and dropping her seventh studio album Toy With Me earlier this year, Meghan Trainor is now teaming up with David Zedeck, John 'JT' Taylor & Sara Schoch (Brand Partnerships) of UTA worldwide. The singer canceled her North American tour earlier this year citing the challenges of balancing her work and family life.

The man behind Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us," Mustard, has now joined Mixed Management with Ben Persky and Sam French signing on. The Grammy-winning LA producer and 10 Summers Records founder joins a roster that includes Sasha Alex Sloan, Mk.gee & Dijon.

Fresh off a reunion run across the UK and Europe, A Tribe Called Quest have landed with Jeffrey Azoff & Adam Harrison of Full Stop Management. Member Q-Tip also joined the roster and will continue to be co-managed by longtime partners Kim Lumpkin (Bloom Entertainment) & Michael Ostin.

Twenty-four years in the making: My Morning Jacket have signed a worldwide publishing deal with peermusic, covering the band's go-forward catalog as well as Jim James' solo work. The deal formalizes a long-running creative bond between peermusic's US + Canada President Jamie Cerreta and James, who drops his new solo album Wowed Out on August 28 via ATO Records.

SHUZO, Tokyo's DJ, model, and Forbes Japan 30 Under 30 honoree with over 10 million followers, has signed a global 360 deal with Michael Africk and Handcraft Entertainment. The new partnership joins existing manager Evan Baker of Silqscreen. The 25-year-old has appeared in Vogue Japan and has been busy in the world of fashion houses. His first project under the partnership is in the works, with further announcements due in the coming months.

Born out of Netflix's competition series Building the Band, Soulidified have officially joined Atlantic Records. The pop/R&B quartet, Shade Jenifer, Malik Heard, Bradley Rittmann, and Landon Boyce, have since completed a stadium run with Khalid and are set to perform at Rock in Rio.
