Capitol Records names Ian Holder and Tariq Stewart SVPs of A&R
The pair will oversee Capitol’s Urban A&R team
Ian Holder and Tariq Stewart are the new Senior Vice Presidents of A&R at Capitol Records. They come to the subsidiary of Universal Music Group from Sony Music Publishing (SMP) and RCA Records, respectively.
Ian Holder:
Holder was SVP of Creative at SMP for eight years.
While there, he worked with major artists such as Lil Durk, Jack Harlow, Polo G, and Pusha T.
He previously worked at Columbia Records and BMI.
Tariq Stewart:
At RCA, Stewart worked closely with label President Mark Pitts.
While there, he also signed world artists such as Libianca and Skillibeng, and contributed to the careers of A$AP Ferg, Rich The Kid, and Flo Milli.
