Céline Dion Announces Paris Comeback Shows
The artist will play 10 concerts in September and October
Céline Dion has used a birthday message to fans to announce her return to the stage, with a 10-date residency booked at the Paris La Défense Arena, starting in September.
Long road:
Dion’s last full-length concert was in 2020.
In 2022 she was diagnosed with the neurological disorder Stiff Person Syndrome, which attacks the spinal cord and brain, severely impeding her ability to sing.
As a result, she was forced to cancel her 2023/2024 “Courage World Tour.”
In 2024 she performed in public for the first time in four years at the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics in Paris.
Return to the stage:
In her birthday message, Dion says she is “doing great, managing my health,” and that she is singing again, “even doing a little bit of dancing.”
The Paris La Défense Arena is Europe’s largest indoor arena, with a capacity of up to 40,000.
The 10-date run will begin on September 12 and end on October 14.
The concerts are being produced by AEG Presents, Concerts West, and Inter Concerts, with creative direction from Willo Perron.
Artist presale begins Tuesday April 7 at 10am CEST.
What they said:
Céline Dion: “This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life. I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September. I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, obviously a little nervous, but most of all, I’m grateful to all of you. I love you all and I’ll see you soon.”
