A world tour is also in the works

  • Following its release the band went on hiatus as its members fulfilled their military service obligations.

Big announcement:

  • The new album was confirmed by management company Big Hit on its Korean-language X account on January 1.

  • There had, however, been teasers for several months, with a November Weverse update by member RM stating “the music is coming out really well!”

  • The band is also planning a world tour.

Chart success:

  • BTS has secured six Number 1s on the Billboard 200 chart to date.

  • The group has also achieved six Number 1s on the Billboard Hot 100.

  • BTS was awarded the IFPI Global Recording Artist of the Year in 2020 and 2021, the first act to win it two years running.
