Madonna Confirms Release Date For New Album, ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II’

This will be her 15th studio album since she began her legendary career in 1983

Madonna, commonly known as the Queen of Pop, has announced her next album: Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II. The full-length release will be out July 3 on Warner Records.

The details:

  • This album is a follow-up to her 2005 LP, Confessions on a Dance Floor.

  • Like its predecessor, the new album will focus on dance music.

  • Madonna tapped DJ Stuart Price to produce the new album after he produced Confessions on a Dance Floor as well.

  • The album marks her return to Warner Records following her departure in 2007.

  • Madonna shared the cover art for the new album on Instagram.

What they said:

  • Madonna: "We must dance, celebrate, and pray with our bodies. These are things that we’ve been doing for thousands of years — they really are spiritual practices. After all, the dance floor is a ritualistic space. It’s a place where you connect — with your wounds, with your fragility. To rave is an art. It’s about pushing your limits and connecting to a community of like-minded people. Sound, light, and vibration/ Reshape our perceptions/ Pulling us into a trance-like state. The repetition of the bass, we don’t just hear it, but we feel it. Altering our consciousness and dissolving ego and time.”
