AI-Generated Music Accounts for More Than 50% of Deezer’s Daily Uploads

Paris-headquartered streaming platform Deezer has announced that during a peak in June, AI-generated tracks exceeded half of all daily new music deliveries for the first time.

The figures:

• During June, Deezer received a monthly average of 90,000 AI-generated tracks daily.

• This represents more than 50% of total uploads of new music.

The response:

• Deezer has said that in light of this milestone it will take down generative AI tracks used to create fraudulent streams.

• It will also remove gen-AI tracks that haven’t been streamed for six months or more.

Detection software:

• Deezer launched its proprietary AI detection tool in January 2025, and in June 2025 became the first (and so far only) music streaming platform to explicitly tag AI-generated music.

• In 2025 it detected and tagged more than 13.4 million AI-generated tracks.
