Yuja Wang is a Chinese-born American classical pianist. Born in Beijing in 1987, she began playing piano at age six. She studied at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, Mount Royal University in Calgary, and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Wang is renowned for her charismatic stage presence and technical virtuosity, performing with leading orchestras worldwide.
