The Drifters are an American R&B and soul vocal group, originally formed in 1953 as a backing group for Clyde McPhatter. They have had many members over the years, including several Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. Their hits include "Save the Last Dance for Me", "Under the Boardwalk", and "Up on the Roof".
