Robert Jermaine Randolph, born August 8, 1977, is an American virtuoso pedal steel guitarist. Hailing from Orange, New Jersey, he is known for blending gospel, rock, blues, and soul. Randolph began playing the instrument in his church as a teenager and later formed Robert Randolph and the Family Band, gaining recognition for his electrifying live performances and innovative approach to the pedal steel guitar.
