Randall Stuart Newman (born November 28, 1943) is an American singer, songwriter, arranger, pianist, composer, conductor, and orchestrator. Known for his distinctive voice, sophisticated melodies, and often satirical lyrics, Newman launched his recording career in 1968. He has also achieved significant recognition for his work as a film composer.
