Michael Nicolas is a Canadian cellist of French-Canadian and Taiwanese heritage, recognized for his diverse contributions to classical and contemporary classical music. A graduate of the Juilliard School, he excels as a chamber musician, soloist, recording artist, and improvisor. Nicolas is the cellist for the Grammy-nominated string quartet Brooklyn Rider and a member of the International Contemporary Ensemble, performing extensively across North America and Europe.
