Garrick Ohlsson, born April 3, 1948, is an American classical pianist. In 1970, he became the first American to win the gold medal at the International Chopin Piano Competition. He is renowned for his interpretations of works by composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, and the Romantic repertoire.
