Edmar Castañeda, born in 1978, is a Colombian harpist renowned for his innovative approach to jazz. He has gained international recognition as a jazz harp virtuoso, seamlessly blending traditional Colombian music, particularly joropo, with contemporary jazz. Castañeda moved to the United States in 1994 and has since established a unique voice in the music world, performing his own compositions and collaborating with various artists.
