Boston Symphony Orchestra
The Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO), an American classical music ensemble, was founded in 1881 by Henry Lee Higginson. It is recognized as the second-oldest of the "Big Five" American symphony orchestras. The BSO performs primarily at Boston's Symphony Hall and during the summer at Tanglewood, under the direction of Music Director Andris Nelsons.
