Cecil James "Big Jay" McNeely (April 29, 1927 – September 16, 2018) was an American rhythm and blues saxophonist. Born in Watts, Los Angeles, California, he was known for his flamboyant and "honking" tenor saxophone style, which significantly influenced the early rock and roll sound.
