Apollo Records was an American record company and label established in New York City in 1944 by Hy Siegel and Ted Gottlieb. Later acquired by Ike and Bess Berman, it became a significant independent producer of jazz, rhythm-and-blues, and gospel recordings. The label ceased operations in 1962.
