Yung Lan Sells Catalog to GoldState in Seven-Figure Acquisition

The producer is responsible for hits by Morgan Wallen, Fetty Wap and more

GoldState Music has acquired the catalog of Grammy-nominated producer Yung Lan in what has been described as a “seven-figure deal.”

The catalog:

  • Yung Lan’s hits include:

  • “RGF Island” by Fetty Wap

  • “Cowgirls” and “Girl Gone Missin’” by Morgan Wallen

  • “That Way” by Lil Uzi Vert

  • “Boom Boom Boom” by Roddy Ricch

  • “Renada” and “Nurse” by NBA YoungBoy

  • He has also worked with Lil Wayne, H.E.R., Nicki Minaj and more

  • His work has accumulated six billion streams, more than 30 RIAA Platinum and Gold certifications and over 20 Billboard No. 1 singles and albums across hip-hop and country music.

The deal:

  • Was brokered by Ruchir Mohan, Director of Publishing A&R / Management at 1916 Enterprises.

  • As per Music Business Worldwide it follows GoldState’s $200-million acquisition of catalogs from CatchPoint Rights Partners and AMR Songs late last year.

  • In April GoldState secured $500 million in new funding for music rights acquisitions.

What they said:

  • Yung Lan: “I’ve been blessed to contribute to records across hip-hop, R&B, and country, and I’m proud of what this catalog represents. But the vision doesn’t stop here. With the team at MPG and 1916, I’m stepping into the next chapter focused on bigger moves, global impact, and developing the next wave of talent. This is just the beginning.”
