Independent digital distribution agency Xelon has continued its international expansion with the launch of a UK office and key hires in Europe and North America.
Expansion plans:
The Melbourne-headquartered business has established its UK and European branch in Camden, London.
Jack Lawrenson, formerly Editorial and Marketing Partnerships Manager at Believe, is Global Streaming Manager.
Darren Latimer, who previously served as General Manager at New State Entertainment, is UK/Europe Label Manager.
Gareth Davies, who previously led Kontor Records’ international department, as well as its affiliated publishing company Sheffield Communications, is Head of Global Business Development. He works primarily across Hamburg and Porto and is at the London hub regularly.
Xelon is also collaborating with Frankie Plato-Beale on the imminent launch of All Bases Music, a full-service music supervision and licensing agency, which will augment the London hub’s offering to label and artist clients.
North America moves:
Xelon has appointed Giancarlo Cordasco as US Partnerships Manager.
Based in New York he will lead US commercial partnerships, including DSP relations and pitching across key DSP partners, and spearhead US dance radio campaigns for labels such as Central Station and Sweat It Out.
Cordasco was previously Armada Music’s Head of US Operations and Promotion.
What they said:
Ashley Gay, Managing Director at Xelon: “The UK is a priority market for Xelon, and opening the London office signals progression and commitment to embracing opportunities in the territory for clients, while maintaining our hands-on approach. Introducing Giancarlo in New York bolsters solid teams on both sides of the Atlantic, deepening Xelon’s global expertise that is collectively focused on our clients' needs.”
