Warner Music Finland Acquires Skorpioni’s Music Catalog

Warner Music Finland (WMF) has purchased the catalog of acclaimed independent record company Skorpioni, which announced it was closing earlier this year.

The deal:

• WMF will now be responsible for the distribution, administration, licensing and promotion of Skorpioni’s repertoire.

• No financial details have been disclosed.

Revered label:

• As per WMF’s statement, Skorpioni was known for its “uncompromising vision, brave artist choices, and ability to bring forth new voices, many of whom have grown into key figures of their generation.”

• Its signings include ibe, MELO, Turisti, DJ Ibusal and others.
