Stromae
Warner Chappell Music (WCM), the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, has renewed its worldwide administration deal with Mosaert, the independent creative house and publishing company founded by Belgian artist Stromae.
The deal:
Stromae’s catalog, including albums like Cheese, racine carrée, and Multitude, along with Diamond-certified hits like “Alors on dance” and “Papaoutai,” will continue to be represented by WCM globally.
Backstory:
Mosaert, an anagram of Stromae, was founded in 2009 by the artist (real name Paul Van Haver), his wife and Creative Director Coralie Barbier, and his brother and Executive Creative Director Luc Van Haver.
It oversees all aspects of Stromae’s work, from stage design to costumes, visuals to videos, songwriting to production.
The company has also produced videos for artists such as Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa and Orelsan.
It also runs its own fashion label, with collections made from sustainable fabrics.
Recent success:
Last year, “Alors on danse” reached 21 x Diamond certification.
Following its release in 2024, “Ma Meilleure Ennemie” became the most-streamed Francophone song in a 24-hour period in Spotify history.
What they said:
Matthieu Tessier, Managing Director, WCM France: “Warner Chappell Music France and myself are proud to continue our partnership with the Mosaert Label, a renewal that reaffirms our commitment to supporting Stromae, whose boundless creativity and unique influence continue to shape generations and resonate far beyond the French-speaking scene, making an impact worldwide.”
