Universal Music Group (UMG) is growing its footprint in live music with UMusic Beach Clubs & Lifestyle. This is a new partnership between UMG’s live sector, UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle, and IMI Group, the founders of the Ibiza and Dubai hotspot O Beach.
How it works:
The two companies will pool their resources to develop five-star beach club resorts throughout the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.
With UMG’s involvement, live music will be a centerpiece of these properties via artist collaborations, live showcases, and curated pop-ups.
O Beach will maintain its brand identity as part of the portfolio of the new venture.
O Beach will also retain its current leadership.
What they said:
Robert Lavia, CEO of UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle: “This is about creating spaces where music doesn’t just soundtrack the experience, but shapes it. Travel, hospitality, and music have always been deeply linked. UMusic Beach Clubs & Lifestyle allows us to bring those elements together in a way that feels natural, global, and culturally relevant.”
Maxi Johal, Chairman of IMI Group: “O Beach has always been about a feeling—about how a place makes you want to stay, connect, and return. This joint venture gives us the opportunity to take that feeling to new destinations around the world, while staying true to the DNA that has defined 0 Beach from the very beginning.”
