UMG Enters UK Hotel Market with Music-Led Hospitality Experience

Universal Music Group (UMG) is expanding its UMusic hospitality concept into the UK with a new hotel and music-led partnership with Outernet London, a central London entertainment and media district.

UK hotel debut:

• UMusic Hotel Denmark Street is set to open in Q4 2026, marking UMG’s first UK hotel and second in Europe after UMusic Hotel Madrid, which opened in 2022.

• The hotel will be operated by UMusic Hospitality & Lifestyle (UMHL) as part of a broader partnership with Outernet London.

Music & culture:

• The partnership will combine live music, nightlife, hospitality and immersive entertainment across the Denmark Street and Outernet district.

• UMHL will oversee programming and operations at Outernet’s grassroots live music venue The Lower Third.

• It will also lead new music-focused experiences across the Denmark Street district, including food and beverage concepts and lounge spaces.

Wider expansion:

• The venture extends UMG’s growing presence in hospitality, retail and immersive experiences, following the launch of UMusic Shops and planned developments including a UMusic Hotel & Beach Club in Tulum.
