Sony Music Publishing Names Luis Pinilla as SVP, Global Head of Strategy

Luis Pinilla has been named Sony Music Publishing’s (SMP) new Senior Vice President, Global Head of Strategy.  He will continue to be based in New York and report to SMP Chairman & CEO Jon Platt.

The details:

• Pinilla will work directly with SMP’s global teams to create new opportunities and build on the current value of SMP’s roster.

• He will also focus on emerging technologies such as AI.

Background:

• Pinilla has worked at SMP and EMI Music Publishing, which Sony now owns, for over 14 years.

• Most recently, he was SVP of Corporate Strategy & Financial Planning at SMP.
