Robbie Powell Appointed General Manager of British Airways ARC Venue

AEG Presents UK has appointed Robbie Powell General Manager of the 3,800-capacity British Airways ARC, which is scheduled to open in London on June 16. The venue is part of the £1.3 billion transformation of the Olympia precinct.

Backstory:

• Powell has more than 15 years’ experience in large-scale venue and festival operations.

• He was most recently theater director at New Wimbledon Theatre.

• He has also held senior positions at the Fortune Theatre in London’s West End, Pleasance Theatre Trust, and the Barbican Centre.

The role:

• Powell will oversee the day-to-day operations of the British Airways ARC, including booking strategy.

• He will report to Lucy Noble, SVP UK Venues, AEG Presents.
