Reservoir Enters Joint Venture with Ollie Hodge and His Label, Some Action

Reservoir Media has entered a joint venture with UK A&R executive Ollie Hodge, bringing his record label Some Action under Reservoir’s label operations.

The joint venture:

• Some Action will further expand Reservoir’s global recorded music business, operating alongside independent labels Chrysalis and Tommy Boy Music, as well as Reservoir Recordings, while reinforcing the company’s continued investment in artist development and frontline repertoire.

• Some Action will be based out of the Reservoir and Chrysalis Records London office.

Debut signings:

• Some Action has signed three artists: Irish singer-songwriter McGrath; Scottish-American singer-songwriter and producer JP O’Grady; and British singer-songwriter L Devine.

Backstory:

• Hodge is one of the UK’s leading A&R executives, having occupied creative roles at Columbia Records, Warner Chappell, and Polydor.

• He’s worked with artists such as George Ezra, Mumford & Sons, Glass Animals, MGMT, The Vaccines, Passion Pit, and more.

• He launched Some Action in 2024, releasing Good Neighbours’ debut single “Home,” which became a platinum hit in the UK and US.

• Some Action’s team also includes General Manager Charlie Shawcross – who’s overseen marketing campaigns for Harry Styles, Arcade Fire, Wunderhorse and more – and A&R Dillon Hall.
