peermusic Promotes Jody Farber to Chief Financial Officer

Independent music publishing and neighboring rights company peermusic has promoted Jody Farber to Chief Financial Officer. She will succeed longterm CFO Bill Gorjance, who is stepping down after 20 years in the position.

The role:

• Farber will oversee all financial activities for the company, which has 39 offices across 33 countries.

• She will oversee global treasury, financial planning and budgeting, accounting and control, management reporting, and deal analysis.

• She will be based in New York and report to Chief Executive Officer Mary Megan Peer.

Backstory:

• In a career spanning 25 years in accounting, finance and operations across the music and entertainment industry, Farber’s previous employers include World Wrestling Entertainment, Warner Music Group, Warner Music South Africa, Sony Music Entertainment South Africa and The Collective.

• Prior to her new role she was Senior Vice President, Finance and Strategy for peermusic.

Distinguished career:

• Under Bill Gorjance’s financial leadership, peermusic says it accelerated its growth, tripling its revenues in the past 10 years alone.

• While leading peermusic’s global financial activities he simultaneously served as International Vice President of the company’s Classical Music division, a role he will continue part time.
