Paul Purcell, Former FUGA Director, Joins Absolute
His key focus will be overseeing the company’s Anthology program
Paul Purcell has been appointed Director of Platform at Absolute Label Services.
Backstory:
Purcell was previously Director of Client Integrations at FUGA.
The new role:
Purcell will oversee the ongoing development and rollout of Anthology, the platform’s AI-enhanced software solution that was launched in June this year.
Anthology is designed to give independent music businesses comprehensive, industry-leading rights management, analytics, and distribution infrastructure.
Currently deployed in-house at Absolute Label Services and used by the company’s clients, Anthology will be available to the wider industry as a standalone platform later this year.
Purcell will also work across Absolute’s broader business and platform strategy.
Other promotions:
Absolute has made three other key promotions across its tech and finance departments.
Thomas Osgood moves from Chief Technical Architect to Director of Engineering.
Isaac Kalil has been upped from Senior Developer to Lead Engineer.
Kallina Jelfs has been promoted from Head of Finance to Director of Finance.
What they said:
Paul Purcell: “When I saw Anthology for the first time, I was massively impressed. The versatility of the platform, in catering to music businesses of all kinds across verticals, was something that I had not seen before. Absolute continues to utilize Anthology with great success internally, and opening the platform up to the wider industry is an incredibly exciting prospect for me personally, for the company, and for the independent space as a whole.”
