Oak View Group Announces Key Leadership Appointments

Becky Colwell is President, Programming & Content; Mark Shulman Promoted

Oak View Group (OVG), the sports and entertainment company specializing in venue development, management and premium hospitality, has appointed Becky Colwell President, Programming and Content, and promoted Mark Shulman to Executive Vice President, Programming and Content, OVG East.

The new roles:

  • Colwell will drive the commercial and cultural success of OVG’s global portfolio of sports, entertainment, collegiate, and live event venues.

  • She will shape the long-term content strategy to maximize venue utilization and profitability, while cultivating deep relationships with stakeholders.

  • She will also oversee end-to-end strategy for event bookings and content.

  • She will report to Amy Latimer, Chief Business Officer at OVG.

  • Shulman will manage the regional programming teams to drive content into all OVG facilities.

  • He will lead the programming of concerts, family events, collegiate sports and private events at venues in the eastern region of North America.

  • He will also work with other core leaders to ideate and implement OVG’s national programming strategy, ensuring regional execution and national vision align.

  • Shulman will report to Colwell.

Backstories:

  • Colwell joins OVG from Halo Sports Entertainment, where she served as General Manager.

  • Her three-decade career in live events, entertainment and venue industries has included roles at Live Nation and ASM Global, as well as serving as General Manager of the Greek Theatre and Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

  • Shulman has worked as an agent, talent buyer, production manager and promoter for venues across the country, including UBS Arena in New York and Wolf Trap Center for the Arts in Washington D.C.

  • While at OVG he has programmed hundreds of events with artists such as Harry Styles, Bruce Springsteen, Kendrick Lamar, Eagles and more.
