Nothing Standard Launches Publishing & Label Ventures with Universal & Virgin

Morgan Harper-Jones is its first publishing signing

Global creative sync agency Nothing Standard has launched a new publishing company, Nothing Standard Publishing, in collaboration with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG). It’s also established a new record label, Nothing Standard Recordings, with distribution via Virgin Music Group (VMG).

Backstory:

  • Nothing Standard represents the sync interests of indie labels including Sub Pop, Stones Throw, Moshi Moshi Records, co:brand, DAP, gamma., and Artist Theory, as well as management companies Various Artists Management, September and Method Music.

  • It also represents the catalogs of Seeker Music Group, Bella Figura Music, Rezonate, and more.

The new ventures:

  • Nothing Standard says its publishing and label ventures have been built with sync at their core, drawing on the company’s track record and relationships across the global creative industries.

Debut signing:

  • Morgan Harper-Jones is Nothing Standard Publishing’s first signing.

  • Her forthcoming EP, Water Under The Bridge, will be released on July 29 via co:brand.

  • Nothing Standard Records’ first releases dropped in June in parallel with syncs in the Amazon Prime Video film Your Fault: London.
