Mom+Pop Announce Distribution Partnership With Virgin Music Group

Mom+Pop Music, the independent label that is home to MGMT, Magdalena Bay, and other major artists, has signed a new partnership with Virgin Music Group. Virgin is owned by Universal Music Group, and it will distribute Mom+Pop releases moving forward.

• Founder Michael “Goldie” Goldstone and co-owner Thaddeus Rudd will maintain full ownership of the label.

• Current artists include Mother Soki, After, Violent Vira, Galdive, The Kilans, Chaparelle, and Tiny Habits.

• The label has put out past releases from Tegan and Sara, Sleater-Kinney, Tom Morello, Porter Robinson, Sleigh Bells, Ashe, Beach Bunny, Goth Babe, and Ingrid Michaelson.
