Welch has spent a decade at the forefront of UK dance and electronic music
Oli Welch has been appointed Head of A&R at dance music label Ministry of Sound.
The role:
Welch will lead the label’s A&R strategy, overseeing artist signings, development, and the creative direction of Ministry’s frontline roster.
He will report to Negla Abdela, Managing Director at Ministry of Sound.
Backstory:
Welch has spent a decade working at the forefront of UK dance and electronic music, with previous roles at Defected Records and Positiva.
Recent achievements include A&Ring Sub Focus’ Top 10 album Contact, and commissioning Chris Lake’s remix of The Chemical Brothers’ “Galvanize.”
He also signed Morgan Seatree, who achieved a US Dance Airplay Number One with his remix of Florence + The Machine’s “Say My Name.”
