Michael Bryan Launches Management and Media Company, Southern Drift

The exec was formerly Apple Music’s Global Head of Country Music

Michael Bryan, the former Global Head of Country Music at Apple Music, has launched Nashville-based management and media company, Southern Drift.

The roster:

  • ACM and CMA Award winning musician Charlie Worsham is Southern Drift’s first management client.

  • Also in its stable is the God’s Country podcast, hosted by songwriters The Brothers Hunt (Reid and Dan Isbell).

The team:

  • Taryn Anderson will serve as Chief Operating Officer and General Manager.

  • She was previously Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Sandbox Entertainment, and an account executive at FBMM, Inc, overseeing multiple management companies.

  • Jordon Isbell is Vice President of Marketing, and Executive Producer of God’s Country.

  • Previous roles include Senior Marketing Director at Virgin Music Group, and she also founded 270 Media & Co.

What they said:

  • Michael Bryan: “I’ve spent my career watching how music moves, and it’s never been more fluid. Artists aren’t staying in one lane, and fans aren’t either. What pushed me to start Southern Drift was seeing the gap between how artists are building today and how the industry is still structured. We built Southern Drift to move with it, not control it.”
