
Merlin, the digital music licensing partner for independent labels and distributors, has appointed Jon Glass its General Counsel.
The role:
Glass will lead Merlin’s Business & Legal Affairs function, and take on responsibility for its Partnerships team, as per Music Business Worldwide.
He is based in New York and will report to Merlin CEO Charlie Lexton.
Backstory:
Glass was most recently Senior Vice President, Head of Digital Legal Affairs, at Warner Music Group, which he joined in 2010.
Prior he worked in digital business and legal affairs at Sony Music Entertainment, and practiced at several law firms, including Morrison & Foerster LLP.
