
Mateusz Smolka
Warner Music Group (WMG) has appointed Mateusz Smólka to the newly created role of MD, Warner Music Eastern Europe. He will report to Simon Robson, President, EMEA, Warner Music.
The role:
Warsaw-based Smólka will lead WMG’s operations across key markets such as Poland, the Czech Republic, South Eastern Europe and Ukraine.
He will drive WMG’s strategic expansion across the region while expanding its full-service capabilities across talent development, distribution and strategic M&A.
Backstory:
Prior to his role at WMG Smólka spent eight years at Spotify, leading its Editorial and Artist & Label Partnerships teams across 10 Eastern European markets.
After starting his career as a journalist he moved into advisory and leadership roles across the music industry.
