Mark Ronson to Score Netflix’s ‘Narnia,’ Directed by Greta Gerwig

Mark Ronson has signed up to score Greta Gerwig’s Chronicles of Narnia adaptation for Netflix.

Priors:

• Ronson was Executive Music Director on Gerwig’s Barbie movie, co-writing and co-producing five songs, and co-writing the score with Andrew Wyatt.

The film:

• As per Variety, Gerwig is writing and directing the Chronicles of Narnia adaptation, which reportedly follows the sixth novel in C.S. Lewis’ series, The Magician’s Nephew.

• It will serve as a prequel to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and focus on the creation of Narnia by Aslan the lion (voiced by Meryl Streep).

• The film is due to open in IMAX on Thanksgiving Day 2026, before screening on Netflix two weeks later.
