
Mark Ronson has signed up to score Greta Gerwig’s Chronicles of Narnia adaptation for Netflix.
Priors:
Ronson was Executive Music Director on Gerwig’s Barbie movie, co-writing and co-producing five songs, and co-writing the score with Andrew Wyatt.
The film:
As per Variety, Gerwig is writing and directing the Chronicles of Narnia adaptation, which reportedly follows the sixth novel in C.S. Lewis’ series, The Magician’s Nephew.
It will serve as a prequel to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and focus on the creation of Narnia by Aslan the lion (voiced by Meryl Streep).
The film is due to open in IMAX on Thanksgiving Day 2026, before screening on Netflix two weeks later.
