Lyric licensing platform LyricFind has partnered with global music royalty collection and administration platform Monetunes.
Why it matters:
Rightsholders whose works are administered by Monetunes will now be able to earn royalties from their lyrics across digital platforms powered by LyricFind.
How it works:
LyricFind will license and deliver lyrics for Monetunes-administered works to services including Google, TikTok, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Audi, Deezer, Pandora and Qobuz.
It will track, and report on, licensed lyric usage, and send collected royalties to Monetunes for distribution to the appropriate songwriters and rightsholders.
Included in the deal are works by Daddy Yankee, Zedd, Chance the Rapper, Roberta Flack, and many others.
What they said:
Laura Gennaro, Senior Manager, Publisher Relations at LyricFind: “At LyricFind, we’re committed to helping creators capture the full value of their music, and that’s a vision we share with Monetunes. By making authorized lyrics available across the digital platforms we power, this partnership creates an additional royalty opportunity for the creators Monetunes represents while giving fans around the world more ways to engage with the music they love.”
