Kenny Chesney’s HEY NOW Records Expands its Executive Team

The new appointments bolster its A&R and Artist Development services

HEY NOW Records, the Nashville-based indie label founded by Kenny Chesney and Kris Lamb, has appointed Dilan “Hef” Ames as Vice President of A&R, and Alyssa Ramsey as Director of Artist Development.

Backstories:

  • Los Angeles-based Ames comes to HEY NOW with more than a decade of A&R experience across companies such as Alamo Records, 10K Projects, and Elektra Music Group.

  • At HEY NOW he will focus on identifying and signing new artists, and helping them build their audiences through social platforms.

  • Ramsey brings experience across artist management, label services, publishing and artist development.

  • She previously served at Red 11 Music and Rodeo Austin in Texas, as well as Anthem Entertainment and Dallas Davidson’s Play It Again Music Group in Nashville.

  • HEY NOW will also bring in consultants to work alongside Ames and Ramsey.

Debut release:

  • HEY NOW launched with the release of Kenny Chesney’s “Carry On,” the first single from his upcoming album Silver Sands Marina.

  • The company is searching for additional artists.

What they said:

  • Kris Lamb: “There is so much talent out there, and you want to know that you’re taking a meaningful look at as many deserving artists as possible. We also want to – once we identify who is a fit for HEY NOW – put our absolute, total efforts behind every single artist. By deploying consultants, that means once artists join HEY NOW, they get the full benefit of Alyssa and Hef; but it also means we have more eyes on the prize, creating the strongest possible roster.”
