Inaugural Entertainment Picks Up Green Day–Inspired Comedy

Inaugural Entertainment has acquired Green Day-inspired comedy NIMRODS from Live Nation Studios. An earlier title for the film was New Years Rev.

The plot:

• Described as a coming-of-age story, it charts the journey of three friends (Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, Ryan Foust) on their way to Los Angeles, mistakenly believing their band will be opening for Green Day on New Year’s Eve.

• The road trip is based on the exploits of the legendary punk trio and their years touring in a van.

• The cast includes Jenna Fischer, Fred Armisen, Angela Kinsey, Bobby Lee, Mckenna Grace, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio and Sean Gunn.

• Green Day members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool are listed as producers, alongside Tim Perell for Process.

• Ryan Kroft and Michael Rapino for Live Nation Studios and Jonathan Daniel are Executive Producers.
