Hit songwriter-producer Ross Golan has joined the Board of [The Songwriters of North America](https://wearesona.com/) (SONA), a key advocacy organization for songwriters and composers.

Golan has had hits with Ariana Grande (“Dangerous Woman”), Flo Rida (“My House”), Selena Gomez (“Same Old Love”) and others.
He played a key role in the creation of the Grammys’ Best Songwriter, Non-Classical Award.
He is the first songwriter to sit on the Board of the National Music Publishers’ Association.
As per Variety, he was also instrumental in overturning the Grammys ‘33% rule’, which determined how many album contributors received awards.
