
Greg Prata
Sony Music Publishing (SMP) has promoted Greg Prata to Chief Financial Officer, effective March 31. He replaces SMP veteran Tom Kelly, who is retiring after 35 years in the position.
The role:
Prata will oversee all aspects of SMP’s financial operations globally, including reporting, accounting, budget, administration and IT.
He will continue to be based out of the company’s New York office and will report to SMP Chairman & CEO Jon Platt.
Backstory:
After a decade in private equity and investment banking, and a stint at EMI, Prata joined Sony in 2012 as SVP, Financial Planning & Analysis.
In 2019 he was promoted to EVP, Finance & Corporate Strategy.
