Gibson Announces Planned Leadership Transition

Iconic guitar brand Gibson has announced that Cesar Gueikian will step down from his role as President and CEO on July 31, 2026.

New role:

• Gueikian will become a strategic advisor to the Board.

• As global artist ambassador he will also focus on his work with the company’s artist community, and serve as a strategic thought partner to the leadership team, as per the announcement.

• Gibson says that during his tenure Gueikian championed a “quality-and product-first mentality,” and strengthened the company’s relationship with its artist community.

• In a statement, Guns N’Roses guitarist Slash hailed the executive for reintroducing “quality, integrity, and passion into the business.”

Leadership transition:

• Anne Rohosy, Chief Commercial Officer, will serve as Interim President and CEO while the Board searches for a permanent successor.

• Rohosy joined Gibson in 2021, and advanced to CCO in 2025.

• She brings more than 30 years of experience at global brands such as Levi Strauss & Co, and Nike.
